Paris with a baby or toddler: practical family planning

With a baby or toddler, plan your day around meals, rest, changing and travel. Komylu brings practical questions and venues with documented facilities together so you can build plans around your own family.

Keep the day's plans flexible

Choose one main outing and leave room for breaks and changes. Identify a place to pause before the next stop. If staying overnight, check whether returning to the hotel for a rest is realistic.

With a baby and an older sibling, make sure both can enter the chosen venue. An activity for the older child may not admit pushchairs or suit the younger one.

Pushchair access and journeys

  • Check the entrance, steps, lift and internal access rules.
  • Ask whether the pushchair can accompany you or must be left at reception.
  • Check the entire journey and the transport operator's access information, including your return.
  • A general accessibility label or a short map distance does not confirm that a route works with your pushchair.

Plan meals and changing stops

At a restaurant, check high chairs, changing tables and pushchair space separately. Confirm equipment availability and arrangements for your baby's meal.

At a museum or leisure venue, ask about visitor facilities and where breaks are permitted. Missing information on Komylu does not establish that a facility is absent: it is a question to ask the venue.

Choose accommodation with a baby

Ask the hotel about room capacity including your baby, the cot offered, availability and any charge. Check access with luggage and a pushchair as well as arrival times.

Connecting rooms, adjacent rooms and suites serve different needs. Read the exact configuration when travelling with several children.

Check the age rules for every activity

Workshops, play spaces and shows have their own minimum ages and accompanying-adult rules. An activity described as 'for families' is not automatically designed for children under three.

Check the duration, whether you can leave early and how many accompanying adults are required. The examples below are practical leads based on particular facilities, not confirmation that every need of a baby is met.

Your questions

How can I tell whether an activity suits my toddler?

Read the minimum age and session rules on the official website. If the information is missing or unclear, contact the venue before booking.

Does a high chair make a restaurant baby-friendly?

It is only one factor. Check changing, meals, space, access and timing according to your family's needs.

Can grandparents use these guides with their grandchildren?

Yes. Allow for everyone's pace, mobility and accompanying-adult requirements as well as the children's needs.

Understand the information before booking

Komylu uses documented listing information. Venues have not necessarily been visited in person. Confirmed facilities and services available on request are distinguished. A missing detail does not mean a service is unavailable.

Check prices, opening hours, availability and supervision conditions with the venue. The guide update date is separate from each listing's information-check date.
